The Boy Scout Ministry
 
The Scouting Ministry began the Conference Year with tremendous growth. Pack 3290 chartered 29 boys and Troop 3290 chartered 10 boys.

Recent activities of the Pack and Troop included: Three Thanksgiving baskets were donated to families in conjunction with West Side’s Missionary Society and four baskets were donated during the Christmas season for a total of seven food baskets to deserving families.
They continue to demonstrate the Scouting Oath of giving service to others. The Ministry’s dedicated leaders are also committed to volunteering their service of teaching character building and offering activities to enhance their lives.

On January 22-24, 2010, the Troop will journey to Statesville, N. C. to attend the Indian POW WOW.
While there they will work on several Merit Badges toward becoming Eagle Scouts.

The second Sunday in February, 2010, Scouting Ministry will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting
and observe the Connectional Scouting Ministry in the C.M.E. Church at West Side. Also, the Wolf Den
will be participating in the District’s Pinewood Derby on the third Saturday at Greenbriar Mall.
